Why this? Why now?

My name is George Cummings. I created and edited the "What Did Joe Biden Do Today?" Substack feed, which launched in November 2023. Of course, the election of 2024 changed things, and I feel compelled to continue with a daily record, as accurately as I can make it, with referenced summaries of the Trump administration's activities.

I reside in Southern California and am vested in promoting the democratic ideal of "citizen journalism." Outside of being a registered voter, I have no professional stake in any presidential administration, campaign, or government entity. This account aims to provide a non-editorialized summary of the Trump Administration's daily activities to educate anyone interested, Democrats and Republicans alike.

Now titled “What Did Donald Trump Do Today,” this “stack” is a daily accounting of the activities, policies, speeches, readouts, fact sheets, and more, summarized and sourced so that anyone, whether a supporter or detractor, can have access to what is happening in the Trump Administration without spin, editorializing, or “cherry-picking” events.

This daily feed attempts to provide facts digestibly without “getting into the weeds.” All information is linked to source material, in case “getting into the weeds” is your thing!

You might not like everything you read.

You might not agree with all the policy positions or what someone in the administration did or said on any given day, but at least you’ll know what’s happening.
