Nothing in the contents of this flurry of executive orders deserves praise. Most of the orders are mischievous if not damaging. They purport to be beneficial but in reality bare the opposite. Particularly dangerous is the one condemning Jenner and Block. Never in my experience has an EO called out a law firm by name and for such facially partisan reasons. This degrades and lowers the bar of EOs. Trump is a wicked little boy with enormous power.
I can think of nothing praiseworthy even from his first administration, but this time, every single day is an exercise in the butchery of our constitution. Every single day is an EO or a policy notice that takes something away from those who least deserve it. And you're absolutely right about his EOs. He's ruling by fiat when at least two of those orders fall under the purview of Congress, and the one targeting Weissman's law firm (and naming him personally) is the result of a deranged mind.
